Hi, I'm an "occasional drinker" (average about once per month) but when I do drink it's usually excessive (15 - 20 units or more) I've found over the last few years that after drinking I get a burning sensation in my throat and upper intestinal tract. It lasts for several days so it's not a simple reaction (like to spicy food) and is not improved by the use of antacids so I don't believe it's simple heartburn. At first I believed it was only when I drank lager and / or cider but I get it with spirits now too. It literally feels like I've damaged the skin / lining... Any ideas if it's something I should be concerned about? Please Help. Thanks, for more you can check References: forums.netdoctor.co.uk/animated infographics
